About this experience
One year ago, Buna Blues began as a need for a space that felt like home; a place to slow down and connect through music, culture, and community. For our anniversary edition, we're celebrating this milestone with our most elevated gathering yet. Hosted at Buckhead Art & Co, this special evening marks both a reflection on the first year of Buna Blues and the beginning of a new chapter. Guests will enjoy a live jazz and Afro-diasporic rhythms performance by a fan favorite, YUBÀ, whose contemporary sound draws from Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Latin musical traditions, alongside a live painting experience that will evolve throughout the evening in response to the energy of the room. At the heart of the experience remains our signature Eritrean and Ethiopian coffee ceremony hosted by our resident Buna Lady, Mama Genet. As always, it's a tradition rooted in respect, connection, and gathering. Thoughtfully curated from start to finish, this anniversary edition invites guests to celebrate alongside a community that values culture, the art of ritual, and meaningful connection. In Partnership with The Heritage Winery This anniversary edition is proudly presented in partnership with The Heritage Winery, an Ethiopian-owned winey capturing the essence of their ancestors' wisdom, the spices of their homeland, and the dreams that carried them across oceans. They don't just make wine – they preserve stories, celebrate culture, and connect generations. From the coffee highlands of Ethiopia to the wine valleys of America, as our presenting sponsor, The Heritage Winery helps bring this special evening to life through a curated tasting experience of thoughtfully selected wine offerings that complement the heart of Buna Blues. Event Details This anniversary edition is designed as a cocktail-style gathering, encouraging guests to mingle, explore the gallery, engage with the evening's activations, and connect with fellow attendees throughout the night.
